Things to Do in London in September 2021
Now that the summer holidays are over it’s a good time to attend those cliche top London attractions like the London Eye, Sea Life, or the Science Museum.
As I’m sure you’ll agree this summer hasn’t felt as ‘summery’ as previous ones. Maybe it’s because events were pushed back until after July 19th? Or, maybe it's because of the awful July weather. Anyway, this year we’re classing September as the peak of summer, and here’s why…
Festivals & Events
Are there any festivals you wanted to go to but they’re sold out? Don’t worry, there are still many events you can attend which have tickets available like Mighty Hoopla on September 4th in Brockwell Park. It’s the most extravagant festival (in the best way) and has a great lineup including Cheryl and Becky Hill.
On 10-12th September, Pub in the Park will be held in St Albans bringing together amazing chefs, musicians, artisanal producers, and a great crowd!
If you’re not into the festival scene then London Fashion Week might be more for you. Showcasing hundreds of designers, London Fashion Week displays the newest styles and statement pieces.
Outdoor
Coast above the Thames in the Emirates Cable car and enjoy the view of London’s skyline as you travel from the Royal Docks to outside The O2. Nearby, there is also a mini-golf course and driving range in Greenwich Peninsula which looks out onto Canary Wharf - We’d recommend going when it’s dark so you can enjoy the view!
The Chelsea Flower Show is back! From 21st-26th September enjoy the cutting-edge designs and find inspiration for your own garden.
Theatre
But…what happens if the weather’s bad in September? Don’t worry, your favourite Westend theatre shows are back.
Book tickets for Hairspray at the London Coliseum or Six at the Lyric Theatre - it’s so good Stacey’s seen it twice!
If you’re feeling adventurous why not go and see Magic Mike live at The Theatre at Hippodrome Casino.
Stadium Tour
With the new Premier League season starting mid-August why not visit your local team? Take a tour around Tottenham’s stadium in North London and walk in the footsteps of your favourite players by visiting the changing rooms and walking through the tunnel into the dugouts.
If Tottenham isn’t your team then don’t worry other Premier League stadiums offer the same experience!
