Events Are Really Back!

What we've learnt these past few months

On July 19th, the UK experienced a historic landmark: the lifting of most Covid-19 restrictions. This meant expanding total capacity in venues, reopening nightclubs, and officially returning to traditional event formats (we do love this part!).

As a multidisciplinary Marketing agency, events are an important part of our know-how and we know their advantages as a strategy to create long-lasting relationships between brands and their clients.

That's why we have been waiting so long for this moment to arrive!

However, the pandemic has taught us a lot in this regard. With limited budgets, closed venues and people feeling insecure about the whole scenery, we had to explore our creativity and put different efforts together to build new strategies in order to keep delivering interactive experiences for our customers. And the result has added even more to our portfolio. Check out the innovative events Goho has organised over the past few months:

Virtual or Face 2 Face?

We’ve been learning a lot about Virtual Events. In May, we worked with our client Gig organising their virtual Talk with the events expert Festicket. We also organised lots of “Breakfast Briefings”, short seminars offered by our client KLC Employment Law.

But, as soon as the restrictions started to lift, we realised we could (and should) try hybrid events...

KLC also runs a recurring event called Law on Tour, when one of the founders Cas Carrington, travels across the UK delivering seminars with the latest updates on all things Employment Law.

As the pandemic has altered views about how training is delivered, we worked with KLC to offer guests the opportunity to attend the event in person for those of you who wanted to fully interact with Cas and other delegates at a Covid-secure venue; attend as a virtual delegate in a virtual classroom where attendees were able to interact and have more of a feel of being ‘in the room’;  or join via a webinar, where registrants could either view in real-time or watch a recording afterward.

A Birthday Party for Unusual Guests

In June we celebrated WagIt's first anniversary. The main guests? Dog influencers (and their owners, of course)! We had a face-to-face (or should we say nose-to-nose?) event, still under the coronavirus restrictions, which took place at Happy Bones Coffee on Tottenham Court Road, and had snacks and fun for all guests - humans and dogs. On top of that, we ran a virtual celebration over the month, offering cool content, activities, and deals to WagIt’s followers on Instagram.

This was only the beginning of the event’s season. Earlier this month, we took some of our clients to a unique experience at the Taste of London, at Regent’s Park, and this weekend we’ll be heading to Suffolk at the most empowering and diverse festival happening this summer: Primadonna! The festival brings together writers, editors, readers, publishers, artists, thinkers, comedians, performers, musicians, and foodies – as well as happy people of all ages and many backgrounds – to share experiences, explore new ideas and imagine new possibilities.

And, we dare say, stay tuned: we have amazing things coming!
