6 Things to Do in London During May

As I’m sure you’re aware Boris’ lockdown roadmap suggests that inside venues such as bars, pubs, restaurants, and indoor activities will be opening from May 17th. Whilst that might seem like a lifetime away, there are still plenty of outdoor, socially distanced events in London to keep you entertained! Whether you’re looking for a bank holiday night out or a day out with the family, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Eataly – Italian Food Market

Already open and covering a whopping 40,000 square feet, Italy has arrived in London! Head to Liverpool Street for a market filled with Italian restaurants, bars, takeaway food stalls and a cookery school. Perfect for a family day out, or even a date night!

Rooftop Film Club – Drive-in Cinema

Looking for a relaxing evening out of the house? Enjoy a film with amazing sunsets, city skylines, and great food and drink. Located in Alexandra Palace and Brent Cross, the Rooftop Film Club is open for drive-ins! They will be showing classics such as The Lion King (1994), Pulp Fiction, and even The Greatest Showman sing-along. Their seated venues in Peckham’s Bussey Building and Roof East in Stratford are also opening from May 18th. Tickets sell out fast so get booking!

Kew Gardens – Secret World of Plants

Relax and enjoy the fresh air. Opening from May 1st through to September 19th, Kew Gardens are opening a series of 6 immersive structures. Whilst you’re there, enjoy some food or a drink in their selection of cafés and restaurants. We’ve heard the burgers at the Pavilion Bar & Grill are amazing!

Shrek’s Adventure! – Family activity

Opening May 17th and located next to the London Eye is the perfect family day out – Shrek style. An interactive and immersive experience featuring a magical 4D flying bus, this is a guaranteed win for the kids. Plus, you get to meet all your favourite Shrek characters along the way. This covid safe day out is a must-do for London families. Pre-book online to save up to 30% (thank us later!).

Call Me Mr Lucky – Secret Cocktail Bar

This whacky ‘secret’ bar is less than a 5-minute walk from London Bridge. Located in the Basement of The Breakfast Club, you will need a secret password to enter before they walk you through their kitchen and into the basement bar!  Lit beautifully with lanterns and fairy lights Call Me Mr Lucky has an amazing range of cocktails along with burgers and snacks. (Open from May 17th).

Swingers - Crazy Golf Bar

Trying to find something to do this May Bank Holiday? Try Swingers, the mini-golf adventure courses located in either the West End or City. Opening from May 19th, their cocktail menu is to die for, and they also offer amazing drink packages – did someone say bottomless prosecco?!
Keep your eyes peeled for more top picks and (of course) our very own Goho events this summer (government guidelines permitting us of course!). Follow us on social media to stay in the loop.

Stay safe but most importantly, have fun!
