Welcoming Our New Clients

As we kicked off the new year, we were pleased to be welcoming some brilliant new clients here at Goho.

It’s been fantastic to be working with some brands who have a real focus on helping people reach their potential, and are making change in their communities.

Recently we’ve started working with startup accelerator Design Future, education platform Above & Beyond, and charity organisation Mersey Youth Support Trust (MYST).

Designing Startups for the Future

Leading the next generation of designer founders is Design Future - a unique business accelerator created to help empower designers to take a more entrepreneurial path.

Many of the big platforms and apps we know today, like Pinterest, Square or Airbnb were created and inspired by founders with a background in design. Designers are full of new ideas and creations, and can often dream up solutions to many of life's problems and challenges - but find themselves without the skills needed to turn that idea into a business.

That’s where Design Future steps in - taking aspiring design startups from idea to pitch-ready concept, whilst also creating a space to help find that all important funding too.

The founders, the designer Kishen Parmar (CEO) and social entrepreneur Sonal Kadchha (COO) are ready to tap into undiscovered talent, and are looking for fresh ideas to apply for Design Future’s competition to secure up to £150k in funding.

Celebrating All the Schools and Educators Who Are Going Above and Beyond

This pandemic has meant many of us needing to adapt to new ways of working, and contend with scenarios few could have predicted just over two years ago, with teachers, schools and educators facing some of the most difficult challenges.

Above & Beyond founder, former headteacher Alison Kriel, saw that all too often teachers’ ability to continue doing brilliant work up and down the country despite these challenges often went uncelebrated.

The Above & Beyond platform is a space to share those celebrations, meet other educators and create a safe space for those going the extra mile to deliver quality education to our pupils.  Schools and education staff can find a real community that is always there to support, share and celebrate together, to try and bring greater positivity and support into the education sector.

“Everyone in Education goes above and beyond what the job description says, hence the name, and everyone - teachers, governors, consultants, innovators - play a role in making schools great, meaning there’s no such thing as “or” in Education, hence the ampersand in the logo”, founder, Alison Kriel said.

Supporting Young Entrepreneurs in Liverpool

The Mersey Youth Support Trust (MYST) empowers young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to start and build their businesses, by providing bespoke business advice, affordable workspaces, funding opportunities, contacts and networking.

Now, they’re looking to expand their reach beyond the 27 offices currently in their North Liverpool hub, crowdfunding for a brand new hub on the Wirral to build a space to provide even more opportunities for young entrepreneurs in the region.

“We help them take responsibility for their own future by exploring the possibility of self-employment. Besides our support, mentoring, workshops, training, and networking opportunities, we build a community environment where creative, like-minded people empower each other during the business cycle. We also provide supportive guidance throughout the twists and turns of their self-employment journey in order to push our MYSTers to realise their ambitions”, said Centre Manager Kevin Lovelady.

Visit their website to find out about the hard work they’ve been doing across Liverpool, or contribute to their crowdfunding project.

We’re always on the lookout to work with clients making a difference in their communities - get in touch to see how we can help your business.
