#PrideMonth: 5 Gay Bars To Visit In London

Today marks the start of Pride Month, and the weather is finally getting better…

We know that some Pride events have been cancelled due to Covid-19 (we’ll miss you this year Brighton!), but for those of us lucky enough to live in London there are lots of alternative places to celebrate this month, and we can always look forward to Manchester Pride in August and Pride in London in September!

Here’s our list of some (of the many) LGBTQ+ bars and pubs in London that you definitely should visit!

281 Kingsland Road, E2 8AS, London.

Owned by Jonny Woo, John Sizzle, and Colin Rothbart, with a team of influential East-London Creatives, The Glory is the go-to place if you’re looking for LGBTQ+ performances and the most famous queer events and festivals. They have a basement disco at weekends and shows throughout the week.

23A Old Compton Street, W1D 5JL, London.

The most famous women-priority club in London, the place is a modern space for women and their male guests and operates as a community hotspot for LBTQ+ visitors and a vibrant after-hours club.

They also host regular drag king cabarets, burlesque, and social events and have great drink offers to keep women coming back.

30 Lisle Street, WC2H 7PL, London.

From after-work drinks to a night of clubbing, Ku Bar is one of the venues of the same-name group (the also own She Soho), offering DJ sets every night until 3 am, and a cocktail lounge that's open seven days a week from midday.

57 Rupert Street, W1D 7PL, London.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

One of the most traditional gay bars in the city, The Yard is open every day, with a garden courtyard bar and a balconied loft bar, making it the perfect place for after-work drinks or weekend nights with friends.

340 Kennington Road, SE11 4LD, London.

Known for its cocktails, The Cock Tavern is a free-spirited place to go for after-work drinks or to host private events, as they own three sitting areas in Kennington, a disco ball dance floor, and on-site catering.
