Highlights From Our Countryside Company Retreat

For our company offsite this year, we chose Barnett Hill Hotel, a stunning hotel in the beautiful Surrey Hills. From the delicious food to the peaceful surroundings, Barnett Hill Hotel provided a wonderful experience for our team. Here’s what we got up to…

Diving into objectives

We started off the trip by looking at our current objectives, which allowed us to strategise and align on our goals for the remaining year. Through interactive sessions, we brainstormed ideas, discussed strategies, and set clear plans. This not only helped in aligning our visions but also strengthened our commitment to achieving our targets.

Renewing our pledges

One of the highlights of the trip was updating our pledges. This was a moment of reflection and renewal, where each team member reviewed Goho's core values and mission, tweaking them slightly to better align with where we are today as a company. It was inspiring to see the commitment to excellence and innovation from the team.

Content creation

We spent time in two groups filming a promotional video for Barnett Hill Hotel. This was a fantastic way to refresh the creative ability of our team. We ended up having two very different, but overall great videos - Dom’s team going for a more humorous approach, where Jess’s team went for a luxury approach. This showcased the varied skill set of our team.

Sporting activities

What’s a company offsite without some sports, right? We started with a game of croquet, which none of the team had played before. After some research, we started playing and had a great time learning something new and having fun while doing it. A big congratulations goes to the winner, Mika! We then played rounders, which really brought out our team's energy and enthusiasm, especially Saff, our rounders superstar! We had a brilliant time, despite Dom having to enter a bush full of thorns to locate the missing ball at one point!

Feasting and awards

No offsite is complete without great food, and we definitely had our fair share of that! We enjoyed a delicious buffet during our meeting on the first day, followed by an afternoon tea - we must say we did feel very Bridgerton enjoying our afternoon tea after our game of croquet. We then enjoyed dinner after awarding some achievements over the past few months within the team.

That’s a wrap!

As we got ready to head home, there was a sense of accomplishment and renewed energy among the team. The offsite was not just about fun and games—it was about building a stronger, more cohesive team ready to take on new challenges. We left with a deeper understanding of our goals and a stronger commitment to achieving them.

At Goho, we value these moments that bring us closer and remind us of the power of a strong team. Our recent offsite was a testament to the incredible team spirit that drives our success. Here’s to more memorable moments!
