Things to Do in April in London

April already? Wow, this year is really flying by… we’ll be in pj’s opening Christmas presents again before we know it. But, for now we’re here with 5 things in London to do this month.

April is always a busy month because we have spring springing away, Easter, the evenings staying brighter for longer and the weather getting warmer. So, here are a few ideas on how to spend your April, let us know what you try!

Easter Weekend

This year Easter Sunday falls on 17th April and by then the kids will already be on holiday. One way to keep them busy whilst incorporating an easter theme is a Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt at Kensington Palace. Use the map to explore the palace garden and find the Lindt bunnies along the way. The hunt lasts approximately one hour and is free for members of the Palace, otherwise you can just book a ticket on their website! The hunt is open on 2nd, 3rd, 6-10th and 13-17th April.

Not so keen on hopping around looking for bunnies?

No worries because we’ve got the perfect spot for you to relax and enjoy a nice meal. Hawksmoor, the British Steakhouse and Cocktail chain, makes a perfectly cooked roast, with all of the trimmings. Hawksmoor restaurants can be found in numerous locations across London such as; Seven Dials, Air Street, Knightsbridge, Basing Street, Borough, Spitalfields and Canary Wharf.

Mudchute Farm

Based in the Isle of Dogs in East London, Mudchute Farm is a working farm with stables, a childrens nursery, educational activities and also is a community charity. The farm has over 100 animals on a 32 acre site with open spaces for picnics or chilling in the sun. They also offer a farm tour where a member of staff will guide you round the farm, teaching you how it works, getting up close to some of the animals and potentially even feeding some!

Komnata Escape Room

Does being blindfolded and marched into a dungeon, and being told your only chance of escape comes from your team's collective (or lack-of !!) brainpower sound like your idea of fun? Well, if you'd asked us a few weeks ago we might have told you where to stick the idea.

BUT, that was before we took a visit to the ever so slightly spooky Saint Angelo’s Castle. If you hadn't guessed, it's one of Komnata's escape rooms in Covent Garden. We had a fantastic time with the team, and we're quite proud to say we even made it out in less than an hour. We're maybe a little less proud of how, uh, amazing we look in our robes…

The Perfect Ramen

Now you might be wondering why we’re telling you about ramen when it’s getting warmer outside but, eating ramen on hot days actually helps to cool you down as it brings your body more inline with your environment. If you’ve been to Bone Daddies then you know their Ramen’s are the best in town. With a rock n roll edge, a wide selection of sake and ramen’s (plant based ones too!), once you’ve had a Bone Daddies ramen you can’t go back.

Parks for the Perfect Sunset

There’s something magical about sitting and watching the sunset so take a blanket and a bottle of Prosecco and explore some of London’s best parks to watch the sunset in. Here is a short list of some of our favourite spots - you’re welcome! ;)

  • Primrose Hill

  • Richmond Hill

  • Parliament Hill

  • Sky Garden

  • Greenwich Park

  • Little Venice

  • Telegraph Hill
