Content Ideas for Social Media
Are you running out of ideas for what to post on your social media platforms?
Social Media can be challenging for small businesses, as content can take a while to think of and create. According to the Small business Survey (2021) 93% of small business owners have experienced challenges when it comes to social media and one of those challenges is… content creation.
Here are some Goho tips for your social media:
Re-share content from other platforms
Did you post something funny or educational on Facebook which you think your Instagram viewers will like? Re-share it! Make your posts even more popular and link to your other social platforms.
Share user-generated content
There’s no shame in sharing content that isn’t yours. Has one of your clients shared an interesting post? Don’t just like and comment, share it on your socials too. This way not only are you sharing more content but they’re more likely to share your content. Don’t forget to tag people and use relevant hashtags.
Create surveys and polls
Create interactive and engaging stories and posts. Do you have a controversial topic that could spark a conversation under your LinkedIn post? Or, you could create a series of ‘this or that’ posts for Instagram using the stickers. Social media users love to share opinions about topics they follow.
Share team photos
It’s important to remain authentic on social media, which is why content creation can sometimes be hard. Approximately 8.95 million photos and videos are shared on Instagram daily. Personalise your accounts, share pictures of you and the team from team nights out or what you’re up to on your lunch breaks.
Repurpose old content
There’s no shame in re-posting something which you posted last year. In fact, social media platforms have made this much easier for us as they notify us with ‘1 year ago today’ posts. Why not re-share this content? You might have some new followers who wouldn’t have seen it before or old users who remember something funny that happened a year ago and want to laugh about it again.
It’s never easy coming up with new ideas every week for your social media content. So, if you’re stuck give these tips a try! P.s. don’t forget to add relevant hashtags to your posts to get more views and engagement.
