7 Standout Event Vendors at The BNC Show: A Recap

Last week, we went to The BNC Show, a premier trade show for event professionals.

We had an amazing time scoping out the best that the event industry had to offer. There was everything from a vibrant array of venues, unique entertainment, to inventive branding opportunities. For anyone in the event industry, it was like walking into a sweet shop.

(It did also literally feel like a sweet shop at times, as exhibitors were handing out some awesome branded sweets!)

Here’s a roundup of the vendors who made the greatest impression on us!

Lick Me I’m Delicious

Right at the entrance of the exhibition hall, we were greeted by the whimsical world of Lick Me I’m Delicious. Known for their inventive creations, the showcased their creamy and boozy hot chocolate on tap, edible helium balloons, and even cocktails served as mists!

Their genius didn’t stop there, and they had a far greater portfolio of foodie inventions that we’d love to see in action one day! One of their showstoppers is the chocolate selfie station, where guests’ faces are 3D scanned and recreated on chocolate. Tech companies, take note!

Barbican

The Barbican is a historic arts and cultural centre in the heart of London. Known for its imposing brutalist architecture, the building is home to concert halls, theatres, galleries and exhibitions.

Hidden inside the concrete jungle, there is actually a large conservatory, brimming with over 1,500 species of plants and trees. The main space can accommodate up to 300 people for a standing reception, and an additional 200 people on their beautiful terrace. At night, the large tropical plants are illuminated with coloured lighting, creating a magical, almost otherworldly atmosphere.

HMS Wellington

Perhaps you would like to host your event inside a national treasure? The HMS Wellington, a historic military vessel launched in 1934, is currently moored on the Thames river, and offers unparalleled views of the Thames river, Big Ben, the London Eye and the Shard

With spaces ranging from intimate gatherings of 12 to grand receptions for up to 180 guests, it’s perfect for those looking to combine history with a touch of luxury.

Also, keep an eye out for The Captain’s Cabin, an upcoming luxurious executive suite aboard the ship!

Royal Windsor Racecourse

You may already know the Royal Windsor Racecourse for its thrilling horse races and luxurious restaurants, but did you know that the venue can be transformed into a spectacular setting for all kinds of events?

When no races are planned, the 165 acres of outdoor space is the perfect blank canvas for festivals, summer parties, shows, fairs, car rallies, music festivals, drone shows and team building events.

One of it’s coolest features? You and your guests can arrive in style via riverboat taxi – talk about making a huge splash!

Social Pantry

As the official caterer for The BNC Show, Social Pantry wowed us with their delicious goat cheese canapés and fruit tartlets. We kept coming back for more!

What really sets them apart is their commitment to sustainability. They’ve even recently earned B-Corp status! Specialising in fresh, seasonal and local ingredients, Social Pantry is dedicated to creating zero-waste menus while collaborating with other sustainable suppliers.

The Perfume Studio

Looking for a unique activity for your next corporate gathering? The Perfume Studio offers bespoke perfuming-making workshops that let your guests both unwind, and flex their creativity. You can also add in a cheeky afternoon tea or a glass of bubbly to the event.

They can host intimate parties all the way up to the hundreds, while still maintaining a personal touch, creating great memories, and leaving smelling fantastic!

Ideas Box

If there’s one word that defines Ideas Box, it’s branding.

Although they are technically a caterer, what most interested us was their fleet of retro tricycles, serving everything from cheeses, aperol spritz, fish and chips, snow cones, raclettes, to paninis.

They also have coffee bars, ice cream dispensers, popcorn machines – all customisable with your own branding. If that’s not enough branding for you, they also have espresso printing on coffees! Their ideas are endless and will leave a lasting impression on your guests.

From edible inventions to luxurious venues and sustainable catering, these seven vendors are sure to elevate your next event.
