The Summer Festivals You Can’t Miss

After a long and painful wait for all the festival lovers, the UK festivals are back! And this time, in summer 2022, they are going to be bigger, brighter, louder and funnier than ever before!

Summertime is a great opportunity to spend some time outside the busy office to enjoy the sun, spend the weekends in nature, get inspired and learn something new!

There are plenty of activities to meet new people and discover new places, but we want to suggest to you something, that combines it all in one place! Summer Festivals! It is a great way to simply have fun and run away from your routine with your family or friends.

 So here are our 2- must go festivals to go to during the summer of 2022 so you do not miss out this year. 

Chelmsford Fringe Festival (07/07-17/07)

Chelmsford Fringe Festival is back with the 10-day event! This year, the family-friendly event will take place from Thursday, July 7th to Sunday, July 17th and the programme includes performances and exhibitions in different local venues around Chelmsford.

What is waiting for you in those exciting 10 days? 

Everything from theatre to short films showcases a wide range of talent and art suitable for the whole family. Their comedy week will feature several notable acts, whilst their family programme will entertain younger audiences. 

Among the attractions that are already confirmed are a series of Edinburgh Fringe previews, with names like Jayde Adams (8 Out of 10 Cats, House of Games) and Simon Brodkin (AKA Lee Nelson). AComedy Club is hosting shows with the likes of Tom Ward and guests, plus the festival offers 7½ Years - A One Man Musical and the ARU Chamber Music Concert, with many more to be announced. 

(It is also a great chance for local businesses to be explored and supported by people from all over England.)

Since Chelmsford Fringe Festival has partnered with Maldon Festival(June 25th to July 11th), Chelmsford will be filled with art enthusiasts during the whole month giving everyone a chance to give the young city a visit and get involved in all kinds of arts with their family and friends.

Primadonna Festival (29/07-31/07)

Are you tired of being tired? Well, the Primadonna festival is a perfect way to escape for the weekend from the busy city and finally take a break to spend time with yourself and your loved ones!

Primadonna is a festival where everyone can find something that they enjoy. It is an all-ages weekend of books, ideas and inspiration offering; film, music, comedy, food and therapies, mixing famous names with emerging talent and offering a specific strand of programming for writers and aspiring writers. It will take place in Stowmarket, Suffolk between 29-31 July.

Make sure to put those dates in your calendar, because you do not want to miss out! 

The organisers have prepared some challenging, provocative and hilarious sessions which will bring excitement and buzz to the festival. It will be filled with live music, discussions, talks, workshops for kids and adults, late-night DJs and pop-up fun as well as chef demonstrations and wellness therapies of all kinds!

So far the line-up includes some amazing names like singer La Roux sharing top billing with authors Erin Kelly, Cathy Retzenbrink and Juno Dawson, activist Shola Mos Shogbamimu, influencers Natalie Lee and Alex Light and podcaster Viv Groskop, however further announcements of the full list will be made soon.
