The Client:

Reindeer Lodge is a beautiful immersive Christmas experience located in the countryside of Mold, Wales. With five themed areas, featuring elf villages, lighting trails, fairground rides, a Santa Grotto and a Reindeer Land, Reindeer Lodge offers a fun and affordable day out for families and couples alike over the festive season.

The Brief:

For the 2024 season, Reindeer Lodge would be open from 22 November to 24 December. Although they consistently sell out their tickets every year, they still wanted to enhance their social media presence and PR coverage to differentiate themselves from competitors and reinforce their fun, festive appeal.

Our Approach:

Our main objective for the PR campaign was to obtain more positive coverage about Reindeer Lodge.

We began our campaign by writing an initial press release for Reindeer Lodge, highlighting its unique features and attractions to build excitement for its opening.

This was distributed to targeted journalists and publications ahead of the Christmas season to secure media placements. Our outreach strategy focused on a mix of prominent lifestyle outlets, regional publications, and family-oriented media to maximize coverage.

In addition to proactive outreach, we conducted responsive PR by monitoring journalist requests and identifying opportunities for Reindeer Lodge to contribute to relevant stories.

On November 29, we also hosted an influencer and media day at Reindeer Lodge.

We curated a list of influencers based on their potential social media impact and focused on family-friendly content, inviting them to attend and cover the event.

We also managed communications with attendees to ensure timely social media posts and articles during and after the event, as well as overseeing event management on the night.

The Results

Although we set a KPI of 6 placements throughout the 4-month campaign, we secured a total of 20 placements at various reputable media outlets! This included mentions in Secret Manchester, Manchester Evening News, Yahoo News and Liverpool Echo.

During the media day, a total of 18 influencer families were in attendance, and we secured 36 pieces of social media coverage, a radio mention, and several Google Reviews.

In total, our campaign generated estimated views of 849k and 4.77k engagements.
