Private Event
Event - Art Exhibition
The Client:
Beatrice Lambert was born on the 26th November 1991 with cerebral palsy. Under the helpful watch of Arlene Dearlove from respite charity, Learn2Live, Bea has been able to reach her full potential and use art as a vehicle to express herself.
The Brief:
Devika Lambert, Bea’s mother, asked Goho to plan and deliver an exhibition to showcase Bea’s amazing work.
Key Challenges:
We were asked to effectively deliver two events in one day, a free-to attend exhibition during the day and a VIP art event in the evening
The location, a local hall venue, was pre-booked and didn’t have a suitable set up for an art exhibition
Our Approach:
We worked closely with Devika and Bea on this event, from coming up with the name ‘No Limit’s’ right through to the little details that brought Bea’s work and personality to life. We created posters & flyers, using Bea’s work to increase awareness in the local area as well engaging with the local media through PR.
With the help of Cosmic Audio, blank canvas backdrops & lighting were designed & installed to make the artwork really pop within the venue. The team even mounted Bea’s 3D globe so that it spun around in the middle of the exhibition, making a strong and impactful centre-piece.
The exhibition was open to the public during the day, and before 1pm, most of the artwork had been sold. The Goho team was on hand throughout the day, offering visitors hot drinks for a charitable contribution.
We had only a couple of hours to transform the venue and produce the catering, ready for an exclusive invite-only VIP evening. During the evening, guests were treated to a Jazz band, setting the right atmosphere for the evening.
The Results:
Through PR, we managed to secure visits from the Mayor of Sutton, Muhammed Sadiq and the local Lib Dem candidate Tom Brake.
The event resulted in lots of money raised for the charity, Live2Learn.
We had a few special visitors to the exhibition, including the Mayor of Sutton, Muhammed Sadiq & Lib Dem candidate Tom Brake.
The day ended with lots of money raised for Live2Learn & lots of happy faces.
