Gig
Event
The Client:
GIG are a flexible staffing agency providing trained staff across the hospitality, events and logistics industries. They offer their workers the combined benefits of flexible shifts and greater worker protections, such as holiday and sick pay. For clients, their growing pool of workers and specialist systems allow businesses to embrace flexible working and easily regulate staffing levels.
The Brief:
GIG were looking to expand their reach as industry thought leaders, focusing on their position as advocates for greater flexibility in the hospitality industry.
They wanted to hold panel discussions with industry leaders, in their key centres of London and Glasgow.
Our Approach:
We located appropriate venues, making all the necessary site visits as well as arrangements for catering and refreshments. We also sought out and invited relevant representatives from across the hospitality industry who would be a strong fit for the discussions around the future of hospitality, as well as relevant journalists to act as chairs for each event.
Throughout the events, we live-Tweeted the sessions to promote the discussion to wider audiences, and were there to support the event, including photography, welcoming guests, and encouraging networking and interaction between attendees.
Results:
Over 60 people registered across the two free events, with a good turnout at each ensuring a lively discussion and networking session afterwards.
The accompanying social content increased engagement and brought new followers to the client’s Twitter and LinkedIn pages, and helped make wider connections between GIG and other industry professionals. Attendees praised the session and the points raised, with others looking to take what they had discussed back to their own organisations.
