The Client:
Cristopher Clark Rose, London based alternative-pop musician.
The Brief:
For Cristopher Rose, it was crucial that we raised awareness of his music through the use of social media and PR. Goho was asked to grow Cris’ fan base and his Spotify listening.
Key Challenges:
Cristopher is from Italy so we wanted to expand his listening into the UK, where Cris is now residing.
We began working on Cris’ PR during lockdown. This was challenging as we weren’t able to use an upcoming gig or use his performances as promotion for journalists or potential fans.
Our Approach:
Cristopher’s music is totally unique so we knew the importance of researching particular publications, who would have the same target audience as Cristopher. Our client had recently released a new single, so we felt this was a very newsworthy headline for our pitch to the press. Goho collated a long distribution list with various types of media to pitch Cris’ new album and earn him some organic coverage.
For Cristopher’s social media, we knew it was crucial to brand him as an authentic and professional musician, to encourage more people to follow him. Goho also felt it was important to connect and collaborate with other music fans and artists on social media, to create a wider network for Cristopher.
Results After 3 Months:
Overall, Goho secured 8 pieces of coverage for Cristopher Rose. We focussed primarily on securing written reviews and interviews with Cristopher, as we wanted to raise awareness of his music and Cristopher as musician. We also reached out to radio stations and podcasts, to expand his current listening.
