Things to do in March in London

Only 17 weeks until it’s technically summer which means longer and (hopefully) warmer nights, but there’s still plenty of events in London in the meantime. We wanted to put a list together of exciting things for you to do in March, whatever the English weather brings us…

Exhibitions

London has a wide range of galleries bringing together art, culture, fashion and more to inspire and support both the public and other artists.

The Saatchi Gallery based in Chelsea has multiple shows on now including the Bob Marley ‘One Love Experience’. The exhibition showcases unseen photographs of Marley, giant art installations, his music and allows individuals to learn more about Marley’s personal life and hobbies. Also, if you grab a VIP ticket you can enter the ’One Love Late’ dance party with guest DJ’s.

Opening on March 19th the V&A Museum, in South Kensington, is exhibiting ‘Fashion Masculinities: The Art of Menswear’. The experience explores men’s fashion in relation to gender - as both a performance and resistance.

Daytime Activities

Hopefully that’ll be the last of the storms for a while but if you are still looking for some daytime activities which don’t involve the outside and unreliable weather then look no further…

First up is… Monopoly Lifesized. Yes, you read that right! Located on Tottenham Court Road, the immersive, ‘on your feet version’ of Monopoly is here on your doorstep. Each game lasts 80 minutes and there are 4 different lifesized boards to choose from.

Feeling creative? At Social Pottery you can choose from a wide range of pottery items and get as imaginative as you like. Enjoy with your family or with your friends (ps. You can take your own drink and order food to the studio!). You can also enjoy social pottery at home with their take-home kits or at work with their team building virtual pottery painting workshops.

Things to do for Mother’s Day

This year Mother’s Day is Sunday 27th March

Treat your mum to the fancy afternoon tea she deserves at Sketch in Mayfair. Inside the 18th Century townhouse, you’ll find the pretty pink gallery where the afternoon tea is held. But, it’s not only the décor which is appealing, their macaroons, pastries and sandwiches are delightful. Plus, we know this sounds a bit weird, but they have the most Instagramable bathrooms!

If you’re looking for a great night out with your mum, then why not try Mamma Mia the musical? And no, we haven’t just picked this because of the name! The show is Abba-solutely fabulous, filled with amazing costumes, actors and of course music. The feel-good show is currently on at the Novello theatre in Covent Garden.
