Why stare at the four walls of your office when you could take your meeting on the road? See the sights you miss on your commute every day and make it a party whilst you’re there! Both the London Bar Bus by Tootbus and Southern American restaurant Americana offer group and event space perfect for your next team session!

This month, we took GoShow on the road (literally), by hopping aboard one of London’s hottest summer activities, the London Bar Bus by Tootbus. A rooftop bar on the move, where our guests were able to enjoy the panoramic views of our capital city, request their favourite songs or guilty pleasures to some and enjoy a glass of bubbly (or three). After a little rundown by our incredible tour host, Jez, we were on the move!

With our song choices blasting, we felt like rock stars, as passers-by turned in our direction as we moved through the busy streets, posing for group pictures under the lilac floral vines decorating the bus, and snap shots of the passing landmarks. It is easy to forget, when London is so close to home, what beauty it holds, but there is no better view to see, especially when the evening amber sun lights up the city skyline. Watching our guests take in the views, there is no questioning why the London Bar Bus is the perfect group activity for summer events.

With friends, colleagues and clients dancing along to the requested Rick Astley and Queen, the drinks were passed around and smiles shared. Everyone was loving the experience curated by Tootbus as something they had never done before, proving once again that dancing your way through the city centre is the ultimate team building event!

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end eventually. With tipsy smiles and rumbling bellies we departed the Bar Bus with a see you soon rather than a goodbye, before heading to the close by Americana London.

Perfectly located just a minutes walk from the Bar Bus drop off, and just a stone’s throw from Piccadilly Circus, is this new to the scene restaurant, where Southern-hospitality, comfort food and glam decor, beckons you in. The open space and sophisticated backdrop creates the perfect event space, whether it be a corporate event or a celebration.

Whilst the group headed up to our private dining area, I was however distracted by the gorgeous bar tucked at the back of the restaurant where the smell of popcorn enticed me to order one of their latest releases, Popcorn and Pecan Martini - an elevated Espresso Martini and forever unbeatable, our group were soon taking a dive into the new cocktail menu as we tucked into the array of Southern style food. From chicken wings and biltong beef jerky, to salmon fillet to the iconic Americana burger, there were soon full bellies all round.

As a city centre venue that serves food and drink until 1am, Americana is a hidden gem in the heart of the capital.
