General Questions

Will Goho get to understand my business?

Yes. The very first thing we do is have a kick-off session with you and any key stakeholders in your business. This can be done in person or on a video call. We’ll ask you questions about your business, the challenges, your objectives and about you. It will also be a chance for you to ask us any questions.

We’ll then do our own research, looking at your organisation with a fresh perspective, the industry and the competitive landscape. We’ll use all of this information to help form our strategy and recommendations - you will have the final sign off for this strategy as well.

How long do I need to commit to working with Goho?

We’re a small business and are passionate about creating long term relationships, so we can grow alongside you. That’s why we ask for a minimum three month commitment. This allows us to fully onboard you as a client and for us to get completely to grips with your organisation.

We do understand that sometimes that’s not possible for businesses that are just starting out - so drop us a line and we’ll see what we can do to suit you.

My business is based in Manchester, Goho is based in London. Does this matter?

Absolutely not. With the pandemic, it’s only proved that remote business relationships can be just as successful. We pride ourselves on our communication and will always be a phone call away. And once things return back to normal - we’ll organise an in-person visit!

Will there be any additional or hidden costs?

No. When we write up a quote and proposal, we make sure it’s completely transparent about how much our services cost, the amount of hours we expect will be needed and what the outcome will be. In the event that we need more time or we think it would be valuable to your business to do something additional - we’ll let you know the time and cost implication and won’t do any work outside the agreed scope unless you’ve approved it.

Who will be working on my account?

We have a great team at Goho, you can see all their beautiful faces and a little bit about them here https://www.thisisgoho.com/about/#ourteam . Depending on the nature of your business, and the services you’d like support with, will depend on which team members will be working on your account. You will also be allocated an account manager, who will be your main point of contact.

Every day the Goho team checks in with each other, making sure the entire team has an understanding of each client and the project. In the event someone is on holiday or ill, we’ll be able to get stuck in and pick up the project with no interruption or delay.

Social Media

Is Social Media worth it? Is social media marketing right for my business?

Without knowing your business, we can’t say whether an investment in social media marketing is right or not for your business. We can work with you to create a robust and comprehensive marketing strategy to find out. During this process, we’ll look at every aspect of your business and the wider factors to determine where you can add the most value to your organisation be it through social media or another marketing tool.

Why do I need a social media strategy?

Social Media for business use is very different from personal use - it’s your virtual shop front. That’s why it’s so important to make sure all your content, images, copy and comments align to your brand, your business and you.

Whenever we onboard a new client - big or small, we’ll develop a social media strategy as a first step. We will look at your competitors to see what they’re doing well, what they’re missing and where the opportunities for your business to stand out are. We’ll look into your target audience to find out who they are, where they are and what they care about - so that we remain relevant and compelling. We’ll suggest a social media tone of voice - so that every single comment and post will reflect your brand and is instantly recognisable. We’ll also do a hashtag analysis and recommend the best times to post, based on when your followers are online - improving your rates of engagement.

What social media is the best?

Which social media platform(s) your business should be focusing on, entirely depends on your business, your customers and your budget. For example, LinkedIn is a great place for B2B organisations whereas TikTok is a highly creative platform and excellent if you want to target Gen Z.

When we look at your business with our marketing strategy hats on, we’ll determine where your audience is and which social platform they are most likely to be receptive to your message, whether that’s Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok or Snapchat or a combination of platforms.

How do you grow social media following?

We can help you to accelerate your social media following through several key strategies. These will be recommended based on your business, your target audience and your needs.

We’ll never purchase followers and we don’t use bots.

We strongly believe that to grow an engaged and successful social media presence - your followers have to be real and have a genuine interest in your business.

At the beginning of our partnership we’ll create several KPI’s for your social platforms based on your business objectives. We’ll then send you a monthly report and regular updates on how your accounts are performing against your chosen goals.

How do I know what you’re doing with my social media?

Your business is important to you, so it’s important to us. At the beginning of the partnership we’ll send you a plan of the content, images, copy, hashtags and timings of each post for the following week. You’ll be able to make any changes or suggestions and have the final sign off. We’ll then schedule the content using a social media platform, allowing us to post it at the right time based on your audience. We’ll never post anything onto your social media without your permission.

As we get to know you and your business, we’ll start planning content for a month in advance, leaving you to get up with the things that matter most.

We’ll also respond to all comments and monitor your platforms every day to ensure you are achieving your social media goals.

What’s the benefit of Goho managing my social media?

Social Media is your dialogue with your customers and it’s often the most visible aspect of your business. It’s therefore so important that all your content reflects your brand, your business and your goals. With collectively over 50 years of experience in marketing, we’ll approach your social media with a wealth of experience and a bucket load of curiosity - allowing us to connect your brand with its people.

Social Media is constantly evolving, with platform updates, algorithm changes and functionality upgrades - as a business owner, it can be hard to stay on top of these while you’re running everything else. This is where we come in. We have a thorough understanding of the platforms, how they work, best practices and guidelines and will use this knowledge to ensure you succeed.

We provide a high quality service, meticulous attention to detail and competitive rates. We don't find our inspiration from past campaigns. We get to know you, your business, your people and use that to inspire our posts. We’re extremely passionate and will always go the extra mile with a smile on our faces as we love what we do.

Will my followers know Goho is posting on my behalf?

Absolutely not. One of the reasons we do strategy work up front, is to make sure we completely understand your brand, business and target audience. We also agree on a tone of voice so that everything sounds like it's coming from your brand.

Can you sort out images and graphics for me?

Absolutely! As part of the social media strategy, we’ll make recommendations on what sort of imagery you should be posting to create the right brand aesthetic for you. This could be branded graphics, quotes, facts, images or video.

Based on your budget we can organise this all for you - whether that be through purchasing stock imagery, creating assets or conducting a photo shoot.

Virtual Events

Why do I need to host a virtual event?

There are lots of benefits to hosting a virtual event! It’s a great way to get people together, deliver training, provide company updates to large numbers of people and celebrate.

If you’re looking for a virtual event, get in touch and we can recommend the best solution based on your requirements.

I’m not very confident with technology, could I still host a virtual event?

Absolutely! We use a 3rd party platform to deliver your virtual event, that gives you full branding opportunities and it’s one we’ve been using for all our virtual events, so we can help you every step of the way.

Upon agreement of the event, you’ll be allocated an account manager who will be your main point of contact. Your account manager will be happy to run training sessions and/or test sessions with you before the event so that you feel completely comfortable delivering the event on the day. The account manager will also be online during the event to assist with any technology issues and questions, moderate comments and post polls - leaving you to host the event at ease.

If you’d rather take a back seat during the event - we can also source speakers and hosts to run the event on your behalf.

Marketing & PR

What's the difference between PR and Marketing?

Marketing is a blanket term for any activities, strategies and projects that help market your business to your target audience. Included within Marketing is the tactic of PR.

Public Relations is just one way to get your brand, business, story, products and services in front of your target audience.

We can work with you on just PR if you’d like, or we can look at your business with a marketing hat on to see if PR is the right thing for you and if there’s anything else within marketing that we believe would be valuable to your businesses success.

Why would my business need a PR strategy?

Your business needs a PR strategy because it boosts your brands visibility. Online coverage is there permanently, so news articles that mention your business will keep your brand high up in the search engines. This ultimately brings more customers to your website. A successful PR campaign will also establish relationships with journalists in your field, who will be happy to champion your business the next time you get it right.

What can PR do for my business?

We know from our own lives that we put our faith in word-of-mouth recommendations from friends and family. Well, PR works in exactly the same way. Earned media coverage builds trust in your brand and positions your business as authentic in the consumers mind. Public Relations is successful in building brand reputation because customers trust customer testimonials and editorial opinion.

How can you measure successful PR activity?

It's a common myth in PR that there are few ways to truly measure a successful PR campaign. This is not true, you can measure your success by collating press coverage, radio interviews and looking at your media impressions. A successful PR campaign can also be measured by analysing web traffic and social media mentions.

Why is PR important during a crisis?

'Crisis PR' is different for every company, as it depends on the size and awareness of your business and the circumstances of the crisis itself. A Public Relations crisis has the potential to seriously damage your brands reputation leading to loss of profit and any established trust in your brand. Understanding how a crisis can effect your business and having an understanding of how PR will help you navigate difficult situations, will allow you to retain customers and prevent any damage to your reputation.
