The Client:

Chelmsford Fringe festival are an arts and culture festival based in Essex. In 2022 they expanded from the previous year’s single day event to a 10-day festival that spans across the city, and across the arts. From theatre to short films, they showcased a wide range of talent and art suitable for the whole family

The Brief:

Chelmsford Fringe Festival wanted to share their expanded festival offering with local audiences in order to build excitement around the event, and publicise the different aspects within it, both before and during the festival.

Our Approach:

We worked with multiple members of the team to establish key voices within the PR campaign. We worked closely with the festival's organisers to highlight key press opportunities, and we constructed target lists of ideal outlets for promotion.

The Results:

We achieved 13 placements, including a range of key local press and totalling:

-       30.1k estimated online views

-       354 estimated social engagements

We secured multiple interviews with BBC Radio Essex, amongst other local stations,  before and throughout the festival, arranging interviews and liaising with journalists. We also ensured the festival was being listed in ‘what’s on guides’ and events listings within the local press.
